The Aurora Restaurant was born in 2010 to realize an excellent restoration thanks to its exquisite menu and a refined décor. During these years, it has become a gastronomic reference in the north of Madrid thanks to the indisputable quality of its dishes and the dedication and enthusiasm with which is provided by chef Vidal Mateos and the whole team working to make your experience an unforgettable moment.
NuevoImparcial had the opportunity to sample and enjoy , on Friday June 12 , the excellent cooking of this elegant and cosy Madrid Restaurant. They surprised us with a welcome San Francisco blood orange cocktail and an appetizer of nachos with wheat emulsion guacamole.
Being a tasting menu, we were pleasantly surprised by the variety and originality of the dishes . The starter came with an oyster sprinkled with lemon-lime air.
Then came an exquisite foam ear of corn, red cabbage and Bacon. Our palates were adapting to the exquisite textures and flavors when we arrived at the third plate, elegant and striking golden prawns coated in Panko (a Japanese type of bread crumbs) with Cajun sauce.
Meanwhile, with great kindness , the professional and timely waiters promptly served an excellent Rioja Cune which was an excellent accompliment to the dinner.
Finally we received an excellent dish of Smoked Ribs New Orleans style, pun intended, which was too “scrumptious”. And for dessert the traditional “American Pie”, a lovely crispy base with apple pie.
As the desserts were being finished, around 23:00 , began the live show with Jazz Artist Yelsi Heredia, one of the most important bassists of the current music scene who has collaborated on albums with artists Bebo and Chucho Valdes. The Friday evening was a festival of flavors and culinary know-how accompanied by good music and atmosphere carrying you into the enigmatic city of New Orleans in the American state of Louisiana.
