IFEMA brings FITUR 2015 , the global industry of tourism

Nuevo Imparcial.-  IFEMA brings FITUR , the global tourism industry which will have an appointment in Madrid from 28 January to 1 February. In its 35th edition, the International Fair of Tourism has the support of key industry players, the World Tourism Organization, WTO, the Spanish Ministry of Industry, in addition to companies and organizations represented on the Organizing Committee. FITUR Madrid focuses on the offerings of 9,107 companies from 165 countries and the presence of around 200,000 visitors from around the world, of which 120,000 are professionals, generating revenues for the city of 200 million Euros.

The budget allocated by IFEMA for the Fair organization and the development of the various forums, platforms, and initiatives that shape the agenda and the potential of this global sectorial meeting, amounted to 10.5 million Euros, of which, 30% has been earmarked for international promotion and invitation to buyers (agencies and tour operators) worldwide. FITUR.
This new edition of FITUR, which coincides with the best data on tourism in recent years, confirms the strength of the sector with strong growth of the fair. FITUR 2015 represents a large increase on all counts from the previous year with a total of 9107 represented companies from 165 countries and regions.

FITUR in Social Networks

Following on from last year FITUR is gaining position on the Web, and adding followers and prescribers channels in many different social networks. Altogether it has 122,000 followers, far ahead of the other fairs (WTM, with 96,000, and ITB, 40,000), in detail 74,500 in Face book, 42,800 on Twitter, and 4,680 on LinkedIn.

Pavilions and schedules

FITUR will take place from January 28 to February 1, 2015, in Halls 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 of the FAIR OF MADRID. On the days from 28 to 30 January it is dedicated exclusively to professionals (from 10:00 to 19:00), and the weekend will be open to the public: Saturday, January 31 from 10:00 to 20:00 pm, and Sunday, February 1, from 10:00 to 18:00 hours.
