Nuevo Imparcial.- Authentic Japanese Wagyu beef reaches Spain. One of the icons of Japanese food culture, beef, with characteristic marbling (sashi) or mottled fat, texture and incomparable flavour is already available to the most discerning palates.
To inaugurate the arrival in Spain of this Japanese delicacy, Tokyo-Ya organized an event at the Miele Centre (La Moraleja). Guests had the opportunity to taste the Wagyu beef and learn about its history and its main elements: texture, flavour and aroma.
Superior Wagyu Flavor
Wagyu beef comes from cattle born and raised in Japan with pure lineage. Since its birth ,they receive individual names and are fed and treated as if they were part of the family. The fine taste of Wagyu comes from this tender care. Furthermore, Wagyu fat has a high content of oleic acid which increases the intensity of its good flavour.

Such is the control of these cattle raised in Japan, that each have a tracking code consisting of a ten digits identification number. On the basis of law, the government is responsible for these numbers and the National Livestock Breeding Center provides all the information in detail. This system seeks to confirm the place of production and rearing to prevent incorrect labels as well as to trace in case of an accident.
