Nuevo Imparcial.- The old cinema Carlos III where the basement was occupied by the Cleophas nightclub, has become PLATEA MADRID, one of the greatest gastronomic areas in Europe. Some 6,000 square meters dedicated to the world of gastronomy. The original architecture of the old cinema has been preserved and adapted so that it can  accommodate twenty establishments, all different for those who delight in national and international cuisine.  It has been a success and that makes it even more of an attractive proposition.

At the heart of Platea Madrid is an open view that can be seen from almost all floors and gives life to this new leisure dining experience with a theatrical atmosphere. Looking out over the central area reveals all the connecting floors. The best views are definitely from the first amphitheatre where the restaurant of Ramón Freixa called «Arriba» can be found and on the second amphitheatre is the cocktail bar named «El Palco» . On both floors you will experience all the space with the sensation of being in a real theatre. You can comfortably enjoy the live music while you eat dinner, snack or just get a drink. The music is spiced with Latin, swing, jazz, soul, big bands, funk, R & B, flamenco, classical styles and Dj’s catering for a wide variety of tastes. Wooden games, vintage chairs, lights and tiles styled for Plataea Madrid  make an attractive place to enjoy gourmet cuisine in the Golden Mile.

What Gourmet experiences are available?

Six Michelin stars and eleven soles Repsol (culinary award winners) participate in this initiative. Ramón Freixa, Paco Roncero, Pepe Solla, Mark Moran, Alex de la Fuente, Rafael Sánchez, Ranieri Casalini, Kiko Zeballos, Alejandro Montes, Diego Cabrera and Luca Anastasio.
